Submitting a need to UCF

The first step is to obtain a letter from a pastor, minister, missionary, charity, civic organization, welfare agency, doctor, or attorney. who is acquainted with the need and is willing to describe and approve it in writing.

The letter must be the original, rather than a copy, and must be on a proper printed letterhead, not an email or typewritten letterhead; and, must bear a proper signature of the person writing it, as well as a recent date..

The letter must contain:
1. A full description of the need
2. The needy person's permanent mailing address
3. The needy Person's telephone number(s)
4. The needy Person's email address (if available).

Although not required, the above process may be simplified by using the Application for Help we have provided.
In any case, every application must be accompanied the letter described above.

PLEASE NOTE: Since UCF is not structured to dole small amounts of money to individuals who need immediate help with rent, utilities or other payments which are already past due; and, because each request for help must first be printed on a monthly ballot and mailed to the UCF contributors in order to determine who will be next in line to receive, the process simply requires too much time for UCF to be effective in helping persons avoid immediate eviction, foreclosure, reposession or termination of a service.

A PICTURE OF THE APPLICANT MUST ALSO ACCOMPANY THE APPLICATION!

Yes. It is our desire that every need be met. However, please be aware that the needs of contributors take priority over those of non-contributors.
