The United Christian Fund was founded in 1981 for the purpose of publishing the financial needs of those suffering financial tragedy, encouraging compassionate businesses, charities, churches, and organizations to mail generous contributions directly to the suffering individuals.
The United Christian Fund is an independent, trans-denominational; placing no restriction upon those being helped as to occupation, profession, race, creed, religion or class.

One of the major services of the United Christian Fund is Media4Him (formerly Upper Room Ministry Outreach).
Media4Him specializes in providing recording equipment and supplies for churches, businesses, and organizations that wish to spread their message through media.
